To whom working on atmosphere-ocean coupling using COSMO-CLM (CCLM) and NEMO, please take care that you are passing the right values of wind to NEMO:
Wind components of CCLM are on rotated grid. In NEMO it's expected to receive wind stress (or velocity components if they are passed to NEMO) on geographical lon-lat grid. These wind components then will be rotated onto NEMO's "local grid" which was already implemented in NEMO.
So, what one has to do is to rotate wind of CCLM before sending them to NEMO. In CCLM there is a subroutine named uvrot2uv which can be used to do that. If you would like to know more details, please email me.
Please note that a similar situation may happen to other models which also have a rotated grid.
Have fun with coding!
